A-sky Instruments

All moulds are made from steel, protected against corrosion. They are specially made for use with the automatic compactor, see Automatic Marshall compactors, ASTM. The three parts of the compaction moulds can be purchased individually. See spare parts. Conforming to ASTM D6926 (ex D1559), the compaction can also be performed manually. See Hand compaction assembly.

Conforming To specifications and tolerance in accordance to I.S. 2720 Part VI, 10074 for light compaction consists of

Proctor mould 100mm internal diam x 127.3mm high having 1000cc volume, complete with collar and base plate.

Rammer  2.6 kg x 310mm controlled drop through guide.

Complete with proctor mould for heavy compaction 150mm internal diam x 127.3mm high having 2250cc volume, complete with base plate and collar.

Rammer 4.89 kg X 450mm controlled drop.

 

Cube mould for concrete hardened testing. Material is cast iron. Machined surface finished by flat grinding machine. No distortion during specimen preparation and the specification according to EN12390 and BS1881 standard.

 

The Steel Beam Mould, commonly used in construction material testing (especially for concrete)moulds are typically used for casting concrete specimens for flexural strength testing (like in accordance with ASTM C78, IS 516, etc.).
